Pesto Recipe

Easy pesto recipe you can customize!



  • 1 Food Processor
  • 1 sheet pan


  • 1/2 cup toasted pine nuts (toast in oven at 350 for 10 minutes on sheet pan) or sub sunflower seeds, almonds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, whatever you like!
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • fresh black pepper
  • 2 cups basil leaves, washed or sub spinach, nettles, any green of your choice!
  • 1/4 cup Olive oil
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese (optional)


  • Add the garlic, pine nuts, lemon juice, sea salt, and black pepper and pulse until well mixed.
  • Add basil leaves and cheese and replace lid. Turn on the food processor and slowly pour in the olive oil while the food processor is on until all the oil is added.
  • Scrape down the sides as needed until it's all well mixed.
  • Enjoy right away! Or freeze in ice cube trays to save for later!
